The first SUPERCAR

The Lamborghini Miura, produced between 1966 and 1973, was a true revolution in the history of the automobile and marked a turning point for the Italian marque founded by Ferruccio Lamborghini. Designed as a breakthrough model, the Miura is considered to be the world's first genuine supercar. It inaugurated the concept of the mid-engined sports car, an architecture inspired by competition and which was to become the standard for high-performance vehicles. From the moment of its unveiling at the 1966 Geneva Motor Show, the Miura captured the attention of the public and experts alike, redefining expectations in terms of speed, technology and prestige.

Design meets PERFORMANCE

In technical terms, here are the main characteristics of the Lamborghini Miura :

- Engine : A 3.9-litre V12 engine designed by Giotto Bizzarrini.

- Power : 370 bhp for the P400 S version, 350 bhp for the first P400 versions, and up to 385 bhp for the P400 SV versions.

- Weight : Approximately 1,300 kg, guaranteeing an excellent power-to-weight ratio.

- Top speed : 280 km/h, making it one of the fastest cars of its era.

- Architecture : Engine positioned transversely at the rear, optimising weight distribution and offering exceptional roadholding.

The Miura's iconic design was the work of Marcello Gandini, then 27 and working at Bertone. Its low stance, sensual curves and avant-garde lines were an instant hit. Details such as the retractable headlights surrounded by ‘eyelashes’ and the louvered side air intakes became iconic features. The luxurious, driver-oriented interior reflects a perfect combination of sportiness and refinement. With the Miura, Lamborghini has not only created a fast car, but also a rolling work of art.

Color COFFEE

Today, the Lamborghini Miura is one of the most sought-after models among collectors and car enthusiasts. Its rarity, with around 762 examples produced, and its historical importance as a pioneer of supercars give it a mythical status. Each appearance at auction or at prestigious events attracts considerable attention. The Miura remains a timeless symbol of innovation and daring, embodying the automotive dream in its purest form.

Delivered in 1969 in Paris, according to the original register, it was dressed in orange with a black/beige interior.

In 1980 it was auctioned by Automobiles de Collection at the Château de Fontainebleau in France. It was yellow at the time.

According to Mr Petitjean, a former racing driver and well-known Alsacian in the historic car business (Lamborghini & Ferrari), it was repainted in Marrone Metallizzato by the car's second owner.

The current owners bought the car in Strasbourg in 1995, with 37,000 km on the clock.

This exterior and interior coffee colour suits it perfectly. It's a unique car in terms of its configuration and history.
