FERRARI 512 TR

More than an EVOLUTION

The 512 TR is the evolution of the Testarossa model. Production began in 1991. Its interior was completely redesigned to improve comfort and ergonomics, while exterior modifications were designed to improve aerodynamics.

By the late 1980s, the Testarossa was dominating the supercar market with its spectacular design and flat-12 engine. However, with advancing technology and increasing competition, Ferrari decided to make significant improvements. Unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in 1992, the 512 TR modernized the Testarossa concept, pushing the limits of performance and comfort even further. Its name, "512," refers to its 5.0-liter flat V12 engine, while "TR" is a tribute to its Testarossa heritage.

12 cylinder BOXER ENGINE

At its rear, the 512 TR houses an improved version of the famous 4,943 cm³ flat V12 engine, producing 428 horsepower at 6,750 rpm. Thanks to a revised electronic management system, a better intake system, and internal modifications, it gains power and responsiveness. The 0 to 100 km/h sprint is completed in 4.8 seconds, with a top speed of 314 km/h, placing it among the fastest cars of its era. To enhance the driving experience, Ferrari also refined the gearbox, making it smoother and more precise. The chassis was improved with a lower center of gravity and a new suspension system that sharpened its dynamic behavior.

Refined and spectacular DESIGN

While the 512 TR retains the overall lines of the Testarossa, it stands out with several subtle yet effective design updates. The front bumper was redesigned for better aerodynamics, the side air intakes were slightly modified, and the five-spoke wheels adopted a more modern look. Inside, the cabin was refreshed with more ergonomic seats and a reworked center console for improved usability.

Produced until 1994 before being replaced by the F512 M, the 512 TR established itself as a successful evolution of the Testarossa, preserving its DNA while addressing its weaknesses. Its combination of increased performance, optimized comfort, and timeless design makes it a highly sought-after Ferrari among collectors today. As a symbol of the early 1990s, it remains a benchmark among Maranello's 12-cylinder supercars.

The model presented in this rare Giallo Modena livery features personalised carbon fibre door sills.
