The evolution of the revolutionary 365 GT4 BB

The arrival of the 512 BB marked a new era for Ferrari. Introduced in 1976 as the successor to the 365 GT4 BB, the Boxer range was already a technological showcase. However, Ferrari, under pressure from competition from cars such as the Lamborghini Countach and the Porsche 911 Turbo, had to push its limits to maintain its reputation as a sports car manufacturer par excellence. In 1976, Ferrari introduced the 512 BB, an improved version of the Boxer. This model was designed not only to increase performance but also to preserve the very essence of the mid-engined berlinetta: a car that was brutal and temperamental, but mastered by cutting-edge engineering.

An extraordinary EXAMPLE

The Ferrari 512 BB perfectly embodies the DNA of the Italian brand : a combination of raw power, racy design and top-level performance. Its flat-top V12, a rare Ferrari characteristic, gives it a unique identity, while its Pininfarina design makes it a true rolling sculpture.

Today, the 512 BB is sought after by enthusiasts and collectors for its charisma, relative rarity and authentic driving experience. A transitional model between Ferrari's classic and modern eras, it remains a benchmark in the world of exceptional sports cars.

The 1979 Ferrari 512 BB presented at Timeless Classics by Messina Classics is a very rare example. In its original configuration, it comes in Rosso Corsa with a beige leather interior, red carpets and red seat inlays ! Just the thing to take you back to the late 1970s.
